Today, we’re going to meticulously walk through the process of creating a PowerPoint presentation using Copilot.

It’s a blend of simplicity and sophistication that will revolutionize your workflow!

Initiating Slide Content Creation

Firstly, open Microsoft Edge and navigate to the content you wish to present. This could be a web page, a PDF, or even a YouTube video.

Note: you can use Edge for free on Windows and macOS

Click on the Copilot icon located in the top right-hand corner of the browser.

Ensure you activate “Precise” mode to utilize GPT-4 Turbo for free.

Then, enter the following prompt:

“Read and analyze the current [web page/video/document], then create a [number]-slide PowerPoint presentation, each containing a title and a really detailed text with at least 3 factual and informative points for the audience.
Example:
Title 1
Information 1
Information 2
Information 3
Title 2
…”

Copilot will generate the content for your slides based on the provided content.

Expert Formatting

Once you have the content, it’s time to format it for PowerPoint.

Use the following prompt to guide Copilot:

“Format your previous answer by deleting ‘Slide X:’ each time. Transform the slide titles into H1 markdown and the rest of the content into H2, removing the bullet points but retaining the information:
Slide title in H1
H2 content
H2 content
H2 content
Slide title in H1
…”

(This will ensure your content is ready for the next step.)

Then just copy the correctly formatted answer from Copilot!

Preparing the Document

Open a new Word document and paste the formatted content from Copilot.

Carefully remove any links or reference numbers that may have been included.

Save this document as it will serve as the foundation for your PowerPoint slides.

Importing Slides into PowerPoint

Launch PowerPoint and click on “New Slide,” then select “Slides from Outline.”

Navigate to the Word document you saved earlier.

PowerPoint will import all the content automatically, creating individual slides for each section!

Designing Your Slides

For the finishing touch, select “Designer” in the top right-hand corner of PowerPoint. This feature generates design ideas for your slides.

Apply these designs to each slide, and your presentation will not only be informative but also visually appealing.
