Tired of generic AI models that don't understand your workflow? Today, I'm showing you how to create your very own custom Copilot GPT.

Imagine having a personalized AI assistant, a Copilot GPT, specifically designed to tackle any task you throw its way.

By providing it with the right instructions, you can mold your GPT into a specialized AI agent that caters to your unique needs and preferences.

Here's the breakdown, brought to you in my signature step-by-step format:

1. Create a Copilot GPT

Click "See all Copilot GPTs" over on the right-hand side.

Hit that "Create a new Copilot GPT" button.

Important to know:

You'll need a Copilot Pro account for this part, BUT anyone can use a GPT model once it's made, even with a free account!

2. Set up your Copilot

Time for a quick chat with the creation wizard. You'll get to name your GPT and tell it what tasks it needs to do.

The creation process is similar to setting up ChatGPT Plus, except you won't be able to add a profile picture.

But don't worry, the wizard will save your settings as you go along, making the process smooth and efficient.

2.5. Configure your Copilot

The "Configure" tab is your one-stop shop for personalizing your Copilot GPT.

Here, you can give it a name that reflects its purpose and easily identify it later.

You can also craft a description to explain what your GPT does and what kind of tasks it excels at.

Finally, this is where you write your own custom prompt to instruct your GPT on how you want it to function.

Want it to focus on writing different creative text formats? Craft a prompt that specifies that! The more specific you are, the better your results will be.

Heads up: Your prompt is currently limited to 2000 characters, so keep it concise. Don't want an error popping up when you try to register!

3. Publish and use

Prior to making your custom GPT live, it's recommended to conduct thorough testing through the "Preview" function.

This allows you to evaluate its performance and ensure it meets your requirements.

Once you're confident in its capabilities, you can then choose to publish your GPT for your own private use, or share it with authorized users by providing them with the link.

Either way, your new GPT will be conveniently added to the list on the right side for easy access.

Handy Tip: You can always edit or delete your GPT later by clicking on "See all Copilot GPTs" again.
